About How I Practice
Welcome. About My Practice Therapy is a collaborative process. We are wired to heal ourselves and grow and understanding and processing our emotions can lead to real and profound change. Toward that I end I am thoughtful, direct, and engaged, and will endeavor to work with you in a way that feels useful and grounded in what you need. I won’t just sit back and listen—I share observations, ask direct questions, and help you think through what’s happening in real time. In that way we can develop a shared understanding of what’s going on for you and help you find a way forward that is real and workable. You might be coming to therapy because you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns you don’t fully understand. This can show up in a variety of ways – often as relationship or job dissatisfaction Some people come in feeling anxious or depressed without a clear reason why—just a sense that something isn’t right. I work with adults across the lifespan and am especially drawn to helping people navigate transitions—times when something is shifting and old ways of coping aren’t working as well anymore. I also keep in mind that our lives are shaped not just by our personal histories, but by the world around us—our relationships, environments, and broader context. Understanding real outside influences can help us all feel less personally burdened while creating the opportunity to effectively respond to our circumstance
